❓ Common questions
Does the calculator include both start and end date?
By default it counts the gap between the two dates — not including the start date, but including the end date. January 1 to January 3 = 2 days. To include both dates, add 1 to the result.
How do I calculate how many days old I am?
Click the "How Old Am I?" tab, enter your date of birth, and hit calculate. You'll see your exact age in days, weeks, months, hours, and a few fun facts like how many times your heart has beaten.
What is the Add / Subtract mode?
This answers questions like "What date is 90 days from today?" or "What was the date 6 months ago?" Pick your starting date, choose add or subtract, enter the amount, and pick days, weeks, months, or years.
Does it account for leap years?
Yes, automatically. Every calculation accounts for February 29 in leap years. A leap year occurs every 4 years (with some exceptions) — 2024 and 2028 are leap years, for example.
How are weekdays calculated?
Weekdays are Monday through Friday. The calculator loops through every day in the range and counts those that fall on Mon–Fri. Useful for project timelines, business deadlines, and scheduling.
Can I calculate dates far in the past or future?
Yes — the calculator handles any date your browser supports, typically year 100 through 9999. Ancient history, famous birthdays, far-future planning — all work correctly.
